A to Z Challenge: Vanity

*google image

Staring in the mirror
No need to exert any effort
With this beauty I hold
Head turner I’m always told

Tantalizing eyes
Sweetest smile
Never fail to mesmerize
All are willing to pay a price

Such a victim of vanity
An object of other’s jealousy
If they can only realize
There’s more in me than what meets the eye

  1. Yes. I can feel the words here. Very well written poem. The jealousy part always comes as a parcel with beauty. True that, there is always something more than what meets the eye which people fail to see. Person’s character is the real beauty.

    Have a good time. 🙂

    1. While we all know that character and personality is more important than physical beauty, it is the outside appearance that can easily be seen and judged. Good to those who have both. Thank you for dropping by and for your comments.
