A to Z Challenge: Zipped

Don’t spill the bean
Keep what you have just seen
Write it the water
And don’t ever falter

Don’t utter a word
Or try to be bold
Just shut up your mouth
To hide any doubt

Just play it coy
And don’t use your voice
Pretend you are mute
When there is dispute.

Tokens of Gratitude: Friends

Being a transparent and straight forward person that I am, I know that other people cannot get along with me that easily. No wonder I have few friends.

A friend is someone who sees
the pain in your eyes while everyone else
believes your smile

For me, there’s a big difference between an acquaintance and a friend. Not because someone always smile at you every time you stumble upon him/her or say hello means they are a friend. They are just acquaintance. Being friends with another person have a deeper meaning. And as far as I’m concerned, I don’t believe in ‘fake friends‘. If you are not my true friend, you are not my friend at all.

Today, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to God Almighty for blessing me with friends who can always and is more than willing to keep up with my mood swings, hard-headedness, and childish ways. And I can always count on them especially during difficulties. They are really treasures that’s hard to find in this life.

A to Z Challenge: Yearn

Longer than forever
Can’t get rid of you ever
I already cried a river
But failed to get over

How could this be wrong
When the feelings so strong
I can’t get enough of you
Of all the things that we do

Elusive as it may seem
I’ll hold on to my dream
I will fight for you dear
Losing you I can’t bear

A to Z Challenge: Xenia

We all travel in this life
Sometimes burdened with some plight
Our paths, gone out of sight
Aching to see a speck of light

She greets with a sweet smile
Coupled with sparkling eyes
Welcomes guest with open arms
A cup of coffee to keep them warm

Truly she have a heart so stout
Her company extends from North to South
So if you long to find some rest
Go to her house and be her guest!

A to Z Challenge: Wistful

Loving you in a distance
For I can’t stand a chance
Seeing you with my furtive glance
Causes my heart to dance

When I’m feeling blue
I just think of you
If only you are near
I will know no fear

I could lose my sanity
Willing to leave reality
Though I refuse to see
You and I could never be

Weekly Quotes To Ponder 14

Here’s the time of the week where we flex our mental muscles – our ‘Weekly Quotes To Ponder‘ moment.

When it rains, it pours… There are instances when life’s troubles get the better of us, eating away our hopes and dreams, trying to sap the very last drop of our strength. There comes worrying. It’s a natural reaction but to entertain it too much could be detrimental to our mental and emotional well being. So, how could we manage this kind of feeling and emerge victorious in the end?

Let me share this quote in the Bible to you all, I request you to sit back for a while and ponder:

That’s it for our 14th week. May the faithful God bless us all!

A to Z Challenge: Vanity

*google image

Staring in the mirror
No need to exert any effort
With this beauty I hold
Head turner I’m always told

Tantalizing eyes
Sweetest smile
Never fail to mesmerize
All are willing to pay a price

Such a victim of vanity
An object of other’s jealousy
If they can only realize
There’s more in me than what meets the eye

A to Z Challenge: Unfuckwithable

HarriedI don’t give a damn
When they bring me down
Won’t lend them a frown
Though my world’s upside down

I just set aside
Hold on to my pride
It’s not worth my time
Even a penny or dime

You can’t see me pout
When facing a bout
They can’t stand a chance
Defeated? Not even once!
