Take charge of your attitude
Don’t let someone else
choose it for you.
According to an article I’ve read in the internet written by Keith Harrell, attitude is everything. It governs the way you perceive the world and the way the world perceives you.
We all have a choice. We can choose an inner dialogue of self-encouragement and self-motivation, or we can choose one of self-defeat and self-pity. It’s a power we all have. Each of us encounters hard times, hurt feelings, heartache, and physical and emotional pain. The key is to realize it’s not what happens to you that matters; it’s how you choose to respond.
The quote above gave us an idea what kind of response we’re going to make when faced with a not so good situation in our everyday struggles. We should not let the behavior of others dictate our own. We do have a power to be good at all times no matter how awful and unacceptable others behavior towards us may be. God bestowed us with inner voice called conscience. We should always listen to it and follow it so that we can live a harmonious life in this cruel world. Our attitude reflects our real being and it is much better to maintain composure amidst a heated argument than do something ridiculous that we might regret for the rest of our lives.
Here’s my three nominees for today’s challenge:
